Accessibility at HoopLab.
Our commitment
HoopLab is built so that everyone interested in basketball development can use it. We design and develop our website and product to be accessible to people with a wide range of abilities, disabilities, and assistive technologies.
The standard we target
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the W3C. This is the same standard the U.S. Department of Justice points to for places of public accommodation under the ADA, and we treat it as our baseline rather than our ceiling.
What we've done
Accessibility is continuous work, not a one-time pass. Recent improvements across our public pages include:
- Text-contrast adjustments on call-to-action buttons to meet 4.5:1 minimum for normal text and 3:1 for UI components.
- Real form labels, ARIA attributes, and accessible names on icon-only controls.
- Full keyboard accessibility on upload zones, source selectors, and other custom interactive elements.
- Visible focus styles on buttons, links, and form fields across every page.
- Skip-to-content links on every page so keyboard and screen-reader users can bypass repeated navigation.
- Semantic HTML and proper heading hierarchy throughout.
Known limitations
Some third-party embeds and integrations on our site, including live-video sessions and payment widgets, are controlled by other providers (such as Daily.co and Stripe). We monitor those experiences and report issues to the providers when we find them, but we cannot directly modify their code. If you encounter a barrier inside a third-party widget, please tell us anyway so we can advocate for a fix on your behalf.
Tell us if something is broken
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on HoopLab, please email accessibility@usehooplab.com. To help us fix it quickly, include:
- The URL of the page where you ran into the issue.
- What you were trying to do, and what happened instead.
- If you're comfortable sharing, the assistive technology and browser you were using.
We respond to accessibility reports within 5 business days. We treat them with the same urgency as security issues.
